The K5600 Alpha 1600 HMI Fresnel is a versatile daylight source for film, video and photo lighting. Use the Alpha "open eye" without a lens for hard, crisp, clean shadows from a powerful fixture that weighs just 21 lbs and plugs into a standard 120 volt 20 amp household circuit. It's low power requirement makes the Alpha simple to use on location or in studio. Drop in the included Fresnel Lens for traditional smooth, even field and lighting control. The K5600 Alpha is built around a composite quartz reflector that can handle extreme heat allowing for the lamp to be placed right next to the reflector. This new reflector is 15% more efficient than standard aluminum reflectors used by the competition. Now you have a compact 1600w HMI Fresnel that has the output of a 6K Tungsten Fresnel and more output than a 1200w HMI Fresnel, yet smaller in size and lower in weight. Now you can have a "big gun" punchy source in an easy to carry light case that weighs less than 60 lbs! Even more impressive, the Alpha 1600 can be used as a top light, pointed straight down. Now get shafts or pools of light in 5600K for dramatic lighting effects. Need a large soft source? Add an optional Chimera softbox or shoot thru a large diffusion frame. Includes a super efficient, flicker free, auto voltage sensing (90 -265V & 50/60Hz), electronic ballast that is fan cooled and allows dimming down to 50%. The Alpha mounts with a combo junior pin / baby pin 1 1/8" or 5/8" diameter. Yoke also feature (2) baby pins for optional rigging points including mounting 4x4 frames.
