Matthews has just released final specifications on their new Car Mount Systems. Matthews' Car Mount Systems integrate the new MICROgrip technology along with the recently introduced Matthews family of Ball Heads to provide the professional camera person a very strong, versatile and reliable system for mounting cameras to autom obiles, trucks, boats, trains and even low-flying airplanes. The MASTER Mount System will handle camera loads up to 40lbs (18kg) and is based on the Matthews CH-30 Ball Head mounted on a 10" suction cup and two 6" suction cups integrated with the MICROgrip supporting components to ensure solid and steady imaging. Each of the Matthews Car Mount Systems are complete systems and are shipped with an instructional, introductory video as well as visual examples of selected camera placements and the resulting images. Matthews also offers camera risers in both 3" (7.5cm) and 6" (15cm) lengths to offer a maximum of 9" (22.5cm) further extension of the camera from the camera mounting suction cups. Set up with the Matthews Camera Mount Systems is quite easy and after just a few tries you will be able to palce any camera, in any position, in just 5-10 minutes with excellent stability and crisp images. As with any situation where the camera is mounted to a moving vehicle, Matthews recommends that you always use auxiliary straps (not included in the system) to secure your camera for safety purposes.
